Be a positive influence in the life of a child
in your community!

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Michigan (August 13, 2011) – You can positively impact the life of a child, or children, in your community. In joining your local Optimist Club, you can make a difference, in volunteering your time and talent, with opportunities and programs for kids which guide our youth to reaching goals and dreams which may not have otherwise been attainable, or possible.

There are Optimist Club’s located in communities throughout Michigan. Optimist International, an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Club’s throughout the world, was created for the sole purpose to “Bring out the Best in Kids.” With service projects developed to lend a helping hand to youth, each individual Optimist Club can develop their own unique programs and events to meet focused goals in their community. Some long-standing opportunities for youth, sponsored and run annually by Michigan Optimist Club’s, include essay and oratorical contests, Jr. Golf Tournament’s (which Tiger Woods participated in), internet safety, youth appreciation and youth safety programs, the internationally embraced Childhood Cancer Campaign, and more.
